About the tides at Chassahowitzka

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.4 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 0.6 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 0.8 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 0.8 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −0.1 ft on November 25.
