About the tides at Cherry Grove (inside)

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.8 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.2 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.4 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 3.5 ft, on Monday. NOAA measured the tide here from 1974 to 1976 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Hog Inlet Pier, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 46 min earlier.

Predictions are based on Springmaid Pier, Atlantic Ocean.
