About the tides at Chezzetcook Inlet
Chezzetcook Inlet has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. On a typical day the water moves about 1.19 m between high and low. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.56 m, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 1.26 m, on Sunday.
Predictions for Chezzetcook Inlet come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. The nearest other station is Salmon River Bridge, 17 km away, where high tide comes about 6 min later. Heights are measured from chart datum, which in most Canadian tidal waters is set near the lowest normal tide. That is why lows here rarely go below zero.
