About the tides at Church Creek bridge
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Bohicket Bridge, Church Creek, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance. With a mean range of about 6.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 9.0 ft on October 1 and bottom out at −1.5 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Oak Branch, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 19 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Pleasant Point.
Predictions are based on Charleston, Cooper River Entrance.
