About the tides at Claiborne

Claiborne has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The mean range is small, about 0.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 1.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 0.7 ft.
