About the tides at Cocoa Beach
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.7 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. On a typical day the water moves about 3.5 ft between high and low. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.0 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.3 ft, comes on Sunday, and the smallest, 2.5 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.1 ft on October 28 and bottom out at −1.1 ft on January 23.
Predictions for Cocoa Beach come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here from 1994 to 1997 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Port Canaveral (Trident Pier), 3 mi away.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
