About the tides at Micco
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Indian River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. The mean range is small, about 0.3 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 0.5 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on January 23.
Micco is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Miami Beach, Government Cut: highs come about 74 min and lows about 139 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here in 1972 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Sebastian Inlet bridge, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 2 h 2 m earlier.
Predictions are based on Miami Beach, Government Cut.
