About the tides at Cosmopolis

Cosmopolis has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Toke Point, Willapa Bay. The range is large, about 8.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 12.5 ft. Neap tides follow on October 16, when the range shrinks to 4.9 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.8 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.2 ft on July 5.

Cosmopolis is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Toke Point, Willapa Bay: highs come about 26 min and lows about 15 min later than there. The nearest other station is Aberdeen, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 17 min earlier.

Predictions are based on Toke Point, Willapa Bay.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
