About the tides at Cuckolds Creek
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Cuckolds Creek, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. On a typical day the water moves about 2.3 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.9 ft, comes on October 25, and the smallest, 0.1 ft, on Monday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 4.5 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −3.1 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
