About the tides at Dall Point

Dall Point has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The average range is about 3.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 6.0 ft. Neap tides follow on October 8, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here in 2007 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Kun River, 29 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 18 m later. For tidal currents, see Hooper Bay entrance.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
