About the tides at Dennis Creek
Dennis Creek has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Lewes, Ft. Miles. The average range is about 4.9 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 6.2 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 7.0 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −1.3 ft on January 23.
