About the tides at Dora Harbor

Dora Harbor has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sand Point, Popof Island. The average range is about 4.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 7.5 ft. Neap tides follow on October 14, when the range shrinks to 2.9 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 8.3 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.8 ft on July 4.
