About the tides at Draney Inlet

Draney Inlet has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The range is large, about 2.21 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Monday, with a range of 3.40 m. Neap tides follow on October 15, when the range shrinks to 1.86 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 1959. The nearest other station is Wadhams, 4.2 km away, where high tide comes about 57 min earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
