About the tides at Dundee

Dundee has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The mean range is small, about 0.10 m, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Nova Scotia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 30, with a range of 0.16 m. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 0.09 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 2009. The nearest other station is Cannes, 12 km away, where high tide comes about 4 h 46 m earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
