About the tides at Edgemoor

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.6 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Reedy Point, C&d Canal. With a mean range of about 5.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.2 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 4.5 ft, on October 18. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 6.8 ft on August 3 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 24.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Reedy Point, C&d Canal, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
