About the tides at Freshwater Bayou

Freshwater Bayou has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The mean range is small, about 0.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Louisiana stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 1.1 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 0.2 ft.
