About the tides at Schooner Bayou

Schooner Bayou has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The mean range is small, about 1.0 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.3 ft. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 1.2 ft. Neap tides follow on October 7, when the range shrinks to 0.5 ft.
