About the tides at Hanahan
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Turkey Creek, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance. The average range is about 4.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.1 ft. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 5.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 3.6 ft.
