About the tides at Magnolia Gardens

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.8 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Cooper River Entrance. With a mean range of about 5.5 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 7.6 ft, comes on October 28, and the smallest, 4.3 ft, on Monday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.6 ft on October 1 and bottom out at −1.5 ft on January 23.
