About the tides at Hingham
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Hingham Harbor, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Boston, Boston Harbor. With a mean range of about 9.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most Massachusetts stations on this site. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 11.8 ft on November 26 and bottom out at −1.8 ft on January 23.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Boston, Boston Harbor, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Crow Point, 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 7 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Crow Point, 0.2 n.mi. north of.
Predictions are based on Boston, Boston Harbor.
