About the tides at Howard Park Causeway

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Clearwater Beach. The average range is about 2.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 4.1 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −1.4 ft on January 21.

Howard Park Causeway is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Clearwater Beach: highs come about 14 min and lows about 28 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here in 1975 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Anclote, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 25 min later.
