About the tides at Jacksonville Beach

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.8 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. With a mean range of about 5.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.6 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.3 ft, comes tomorrow, and the smallest, 3.8 ft, on October 18.
