About the tides at Pablo Creek
Pablo Creek has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock). The average range is about 3.8 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.1 ft. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 4.5 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 2.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 5.2 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.3 ft on January 23.
Pablo Creek is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock): highs come about 74 min and lows about 80 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 1978 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Atlantic Beach, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 42 m earlier.
