About the tides at Jesters Island

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.8 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Virginia stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.3 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on January 23.
