About the tides at Kipnuk
Kipnuk has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. With a mean range of about 6.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 8.3 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 9.3 ft, comes on Sunday, and the smallest, 6.3 ft, on October 10.
Predictions for Kipnuk come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here in 2021 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Chefornak, 17 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 11 m later.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
