About the tides at Knappa

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.3 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at ASTORIA (Tongue Point), Oreg.. The range is large, about 6.7 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 8.3 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 9.4 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 7.2 ft.
