About the tides at Settlers Point

Settlers Point has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Astoria, Tongue Point, Columbia River. The range is large, about 6.2 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 9.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 4.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 10.1 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.1 ft on July 5.

Settlers Point is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Astoria, Tongue Point, Columbia River: highs come about 22 min and lows about 53 min later than there.
