About the tides at Lake Forest
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Ribault River, Lake Forest, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock). The average range is about 2.6 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 3.2 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 1.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.6 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.
Lake Forest is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Mayport (Bar Pilot Dock): highs come about 73 min and lows about 130 min later than there.
