Massaponax has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Washington, Potomac River. The average range is about 2.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 2.9 ft.
