About the tides at Liverpool Point
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Md., each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. Water here rises and falls only about 1.0 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.4 ft, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 0.8 ft, on Friday.
Liverpool Point is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Quantico, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 13 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Quantico.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
