About the tides at Mobile

Mobile usually gets one high and one low tide a day, known as a diurnal tide. Water here rises and falls only about 1.5 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.2 ft, comes on Friday, and the smallest, 0.3 ft, on October 8.
