About the tides at Napa

Napa has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at SAN FRANCISCO (Golden Gate). The range is large, about 5.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most California stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 6.9 ft. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 8.0 ft. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 4.8 ft.

Napa is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting SAN FRANCISCO (Golden Gate): highs come about 125 min and lows about 157 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1978 to 1979 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Brazos Drawbridge, 6 mi away.

Predictions are based on SAN FRANCISCO (Golden Gate).
