About the tides at Oscar Bay

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.15 m, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The average range is about 0.81 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Nunavut stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 1.30 m. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 0.48 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 2009. The nearest other station is Cape Felix, 82 km away, where high tide comes about 33 min earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
