About the tides at Pictou Island

Pictou Island has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 0.93 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Nova Scotia stations on this site.
