About the tides at Point San Bruno
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at San Francisco, San Francisco Bay. The average range is about 5.0 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most California stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 8.8 ft. Neap tides follow on October 31, when the range shrinks to 3.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 8.3 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −1.7 ft on December 24.
Point San Bruno is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting San Francisco, San Francisco Bay: highs come about 38 min and lows about 70 min later than there. The nearest other station is Seaplane Harbor, 1.0 mi away. For tidal currents, see Point San Bruno, 0.51 nmi. east of.
Predictions are based on San Francisco, San Francisco Bay.
