About the tides at Porpoise Channel East

Porpoise Channel East has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The tide range here is very large, about 3.95 m on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most British Columbia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 5.90 m. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 3.05 m.
