About the tides at Richmond Deepwater Terminal

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 3.0 ft between high and low. That is larger than most Virginia stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.4 ft.
