About the tides at Ridgefield Park

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Ridgefield Park Hackensack River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at The Battery, New York Harbor. The range is large, about 5.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most New Jersey stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 8.0 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 3.6 ft.
