About the tides at North Secaucus

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Garretts Reach, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at NEW YORK (The Battery). With a mean range of about 5.5 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most New Jersey stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 7.3 ft, comes on Saturday, and the smallest, 3.9 ft, on October 17. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.6 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −1.7 ft on January 23.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at NEW YORK (The Battery), with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 1981 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Carlstadt, 0.4 mi away. For tidal currents, see Hudson River, Pier 92.
