About the tides at Rivière-Saint-Paul
Rivière-Saint-Paul has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The average range is about 1.09 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Quebec stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 1.64 m. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 1.16 m.
This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 2012. The nearest other station is Île des Esquimaux, 5.3 km away. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
