About the tides at Round Point

Tides at Trinity Bay are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. Water here rises and falls only about 1.1 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.4 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.6 ft, comes on October 29, and the smallest, 0.4 ft, on Thursday.
