About the tides at Scraggy Island

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 7.6 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 10.0 ft. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 11.6 ft. Neap tides follow on October 17, when the range shrinks to 3.3 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 12.7 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.1 ft on July 5.
