About the tides at Bear Bay

Bear Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. Bear Bay sees a mean range of about 11.1 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 15.4 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 9.2 ft, on Friday.
