About the tides at Sequim Bay entrance
Sequim Bay entrance has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet. The range is large, about 5.2 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most Washington stations on this site. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 8.7 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 2.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.4 ft on December 26, and the lowest is −3.4 ft on July 4.
Sequim Bay entrance is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet: highs come about 39 min and lows about 7 min earlier than there.
