About the tides at Sheldon

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.9 ft. With a mean range of about 8.1 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 9.6 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 8.5 ft, on Sunday.
