About the tides at Corning Landing

Corning Landing has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 8.0 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 8.6 ft. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 10.0 ft on November 25 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on August 4.
