About the tides at Sitka Dock

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.2 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Charleston, Coos Bay. The range is large, about 5.8 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 7.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.7 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.5 ft on July 5.
