About the tides at St. George

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.5 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The average range is about 2.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 30, with a range of 5.1 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 0.6 ft.
