About the tides at Village Cove
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.3 ft. The average range is about 2.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.2 ft. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 4.1 ft. Neap tides follow on October 9, when the range shrinks to 1.7 ft.
