About the tides at St. Marys

St. Marys has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 5.9 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 6.4 ft. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.5 ft on September 29 and bottom out at −1.3 ft on January 23.
